This Week

Just a few things we've been doing this week, I had my dr.'s appointment on Thursday and everything looks great. I'm dialating and getting ready to go into labor, who knows when this is all gonna happen, but the very latest I'm going to be induced on May 19th, whoo hoo! Now all of a sudden I feel the pressure of getting everything ready, hopefully we'll have this all worked out soon! Exciting though...
I started reading the "Twilight" series and can't stop! I've finished the first two books in the last two days and I'm trying to decide if I should spend another day just reading, or if I have the self-control to just read a little at a time this next week. (I don't have the self-control) ;)

I decided I truly hate my yard and wanted to plant some flowers, although now I realize that wasn't very smart since it SNOWED the other day!!! My goal is to add a plant atleast every week for the next little bit. Well, hopefully they'll live and I didn't waste all that money...

This picture's from a month or so ago, Leanne's just a couple weeks ahead of me, its pretty funny to compare though!

Thinking of the Manuela's...

This is my favorite picture of Jolyn, I will forever think of her this way with the sun glowing on her, she was so happy that trip, I think she looks absolutely gorgeous.

The last day or two have been difficult, my heart goes out to the Manuela family. Jolyn after many months (really, years) of struggling has passed away. I have such mixed feelings, I have to be honest I'm really so happy for Jolyn. I'm so happy she doesn't have to be in pain anymore, she doesn't have to wear her oxygen mask, she doesn't have to be stuck at home, and be exhausted all the time. In that same breath, I'm so sorry for her family and that we won't get to see her beautiful smiling face--atleast for a little while. I know she is doing great things on the other side this very moment! Although death is just the other part of life, that doesn't make it easy, I am just SO grateful for the knowledge of eternal families and the plan of salvation, I don't know how people get through things like this who don't know! Since everything happened yesterday, we decided we couldn't go on with our regular Mutual activities, so we would do some things to help the youth to cope or deal with this hopefully better. We had a big poster that we put some stickers and cute little words and things on, and made a big card to give to the family. And then we got some helium balloons and let people write on a tag a note or thought or whatever they wanted to Jolyn, and then we released them at the end of the night. The Bishop stood up and talked to the kids and shared some special experiences and what had happened, what he said was wonderful. Kerrilyn has a good friend thats a counselor, so she came and shared some idea's and thoughts with the kids of what they could do to feel better. After that, we just let the kids talk and cry and hug eachother, write in the card and leave their thoughts. Really it was nice to get to be together and love eachother. I hope it helped some of the youth deal with their feelings, and to be okay. Here's some of the pictures from last night. I really just wish there was something to do to help the family, I would in a second!

This is right before we let the balloons go, it was a neat thing to do, I'm glad Kerrilyn thought to do it.

This is Annie, I just love her so much. Annie is a "tom-boy"--very athletic, hard-working, "tough" but really deep down she is so tender hearted.

They're getting a lot higher now, they went surprisingly quickly.

At first we were just planning on the Young Women being together, but the Young Men stayed and participated with us, I'm so glad they did, it was very touching.

I'm so thankful for the things Bishop said and the sentiments he expressed to us, he watched the balloons for a long time.

Well, this weekend has been busy and eventful as usual! Friday was fun because my brother was engaged this week and he and his fiance drove down here to go back to school in Rexburg. So we got to say hi and they were so fun to let me take some engagement pictures of them. We're *super* excited for them and can't wait for Tamsyn to join our family! My girls already love her and can't stay away from her, I think its cute, hopefully its not too annoying for her! :) After that, we went over to my cousin's to have another family get together before my cousin Jill went back home to Arizona. Her and her husband just recently adopted twin boys (2 years old!) and it was so fun to see all these two year olds running around together playing! It would be AWESOME if they could move up here, we'll keep our fingers crossed that someday they will! Yesterday, I had a Lia Sophia Rally up in Sandy, it was a lot of fun and I learned a lot--there were a ton of good idea's and pointers, and they fed us lunch so you can't beat that! :) I got home close to 3 o'clock, and we headed up to Costco after that, gotta love those churros (sp?) and really after Costco, we just hung out for the rest of the night watching movies, it was nice to relax for awhile! So besides not being able to sleep at night (at ALL!) and having this stupid sinus cold (for a week now!--by the way my eardrum burst the other night, lovely...) we're doing pretty good! One month left until this baby is born! Whoo hoo!!

I had to add this one, after playing all day, this is how my girls fell asleep Friday night! Too sweet huh?

Maddie and her new cousin Tyson! Can you tell they were having so much fun!

This is my brother and his fiance Tamsyn! Aren't they adorable together?!

Baby Shower Gift

Well, its my cousin's baby shower tonight and I wasn't sure what I was going to get her until she told me she wanted headbands and decoration kind of things for the baby's room. So it hit me! I knew exactly what I wanted to do for her, and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed putting this together! At the craft show I was at last weekend there was a bunch of these and I've been seeing them everywhere, so I've wanted to make these cute little headbands for awhile now. You make the headbands out of tights, and then you make all kinds of bows and things that can be interchanged to match whatever outfit you want. I took a picture frame and put some pretty fabric around the glass and added ribbon to it, you can hang the frame on the wall and clip the bows to the ribbon, so you have a cute place to keep them all. Fun huh?

Then I took some of the extra ribbon and fabric and made some pacifier clips. Gotta get some cute "boy" material and make some for our baby!

Fun Pics

Here's a couple of pictures of our funny girls from the last couple days, they keep doing things that make me grab the camera! This very first picture of Maddie, she has on the top half of some tights that I cut up to make headbands, she thought they were so cool! The other pictures are of the girls with their new goggles on and Maddie keeps falling asleep on the couch while she's sitting up, too cute!

Gotta love Family!

Man! Wish I'd taken some pictures last night, but I know Kay did so maybe she'll send me some! My cousin Jill and her husband and adorable twin boys are in town visiting, so last night we got together with my Aunt and Uncle's family and had a BBQ and laughed and the kids played outside on the tramp and the toys, and even some of the men had a pretty good time playing with the kids stuff! :) It was SO nice to get together and eat and talk and relax, I'm just so happy we have such wonderful family near us. I really think it would make being away from our family so much harder, but I'm so happy that Jim and Kay have been so good to include us and treat us so well! I just love them so much, they're awesome! It goes to show if we'd never moved away from home, we wouldn't of had the chance to get to know other people in our family and have such good relationships! So there can be some really good things that come out of hard situations! Thanks again to Jim and Kay and their kids for being so wonderful to us--we surely love you!

What a Weekend!

Well, its been a crazy last couple of days! Friday I was supposed to be off work by 12:45, but the girl that was going to close had a family emergency and asked me to take her shift. So I got a little break and went back to work from 2:15 to 6:30, it was a long day! Thankfully David was ready to take me out and do something fun, something I really needed! So we went to Applebee's and I had a nice steak! Yum yum! And then we rented a couple of movies, Mr. Magorium's something something Imporium, was actually quite cute! Yesterday was quite a day as well, I've been doing vinyl stickers with some friends of mine for a few months now, and there was a craft "boutique" thing up in Roy yesterday, so I got up and left about 8:30am and headed out. Called my mom on the drive up since it was her b-day--Happy Birthday Mom!!--and got up there about 9:30. It was a pretty busy day, there was constant traffic and constant work to do. I brought up my own chair, a crappy pink lawn chair so I'd have somewhere to sit, but didn't realize how bad my back would hurt by the end of the day leaning over stickers I was working on! yikes! We finally closed shop and loaded everything up by 6:00pm and I made it home by 7:00--what a long day! On top of the crazy weekends, it hit me in the middle of the night that I have a sore throat and stuffy nose! So not feeling so hot either, darn it! I really do have to mention my incredible husband who so willingly and un-complainingly takes our girls and does fun things with them; he bought them new pool toys so we can go to the pool as it starts warming up, he took them for walks and played outside with them, he even cleaned up the living room, what a good man! I'm so grateful for him and his patience with me and my hectic schedule! So anyway, I didn't get done really anything that I had planned on, but such is life, especially mine! Hopefully in the next week or so I can get organized again and get done all the little extra things I need to! I'm so excited for the baby to get here and especially for a semi-break from things (semi, since I'll still be doing lots of stuff this summer, just not working at the daycare). And a super bonus this week, after Tuesday I won't be opening in the mornings! I won't have to wake up at 6am anymore! Hallelujah! Well, wish us luck in the next couple weeks that we'll get all the odds and ends done before this baby is born! And maybe a good nights sleep in there somewhere too....

Wishing for Summer-or atleast Spring!

Really wish it was getting warmer around here, but it keeps getting warm and then super cold again! It snowed here again! Anyway, even though it isn't warm outside, Bethany's been asking to go to the pool all the time, so Dave decided he would take them today! Don't they look cute?!

Bethany got this swimsuit a couple weeks ago and was so excited to wear it!

My Maddie

I'll have to post some pictures later, but I just have to say that Maddie is my sunshine! That kid just makes me so happy--she's been so funny today! She loves her easter basket (its more of a bucket), I think mostly because it had a bunch of candy in it! But now that the candy's gone, she likes to walk around with it on her head! haha And just in general she's been talking a TON and she says the cutest things! She was looking at a Snow White book and there's a picture where she's laying on the ground in the forest and Maddie looks at me and says so sweetly "Mama, Snow White is dead." I had to laugh so hard and tell her she was just crying. But anyway, I could go on and on but I'm just so thankful for her and how much she brings to our family! and p.s. I don't want this to sound like I don't love Bethany, I do so much too!
(here are the pictures from yesterday, if you notice she's wearing different clothes, its her new big thing to go get in her clothes and find something new to put on! usually a dress!)

Conference Weekend

Wow, I love conference weekends! Its so nice to listen to the prophet and hear the apostles guide us! It was especially special to be able to sustain a new prophet, not something I really remember doing with President Hinckley. I even got a little teary eyed doing it, I truly feel President Monson is called of God and I'm so excited to see him go to work over the next few years! I won't lie and say I didn't fall asleep a few times, but in my defense I am quite pregnant and not sleeping well! :) From what I didn't miss, I loved and am striving to be a better person!
Doubly exciting besides getting to sit and relax and listen to conference, my brother was in town to see his girlfriend! whoo hoo for him! He's been home from school during his off-season and they've been talking and getting quite serious I hear, so it was really nice for him to get to come down and go to conference with her. She's a really great girl, she's from South Africa and has the cutest accent. She's very calm and relaxed and easy to talk to, which is just so nice! They were here for the second session yesterday and stayed most of the rest of the night, so it was nice to get to visit for awhile. I'm so happy for my brother--and her too!:)--they seem really smitten with eachother! I wish them the best of luck and hope everything works out in the best of ways! ;)

Lia Sophia

So for those of you that haven't heard of Lia Sophia, its a company that sells jewelry. Its like Avon or Pampered Chef, where you host parties and sell it from a catalog, kind of thing. So anyway, I've been to a few parties and had two of my own now, and talking to some friends and things, I've decided I'm going to sell it myself. Its nice because I can do it in the evenings when Dave's home and choose what days work for me, and really all in all its just a big party every time I'd go to work! :) I'm trying to figure out how everything works and exactly what I need to do, but otherwise I'm pretty excited about it! Especially since my starter kit comes with over a thousand dollars of jewelry--whoo hoo! Its not all stuff I would pick out myself, but still! It will be especially nice this summer when I'm not working at the daycare! Well, wish us luck that this new endeavor will be positive!
