Well, my poor boy is very sick. I feel horrible about it! All this last week Sam hasn't been feeling very good, but we kept hoping he'd start getting better.
It started out with a fever that lasted about four days, and then turned into a little rash (don't worry, the rash was just his body fighting off the virus), all the while accompanied by a cough and super goopy eyes. David took him in to the doctor yesterday because he just wasn't getting better.
Get this, the poor boy has ear infections in BOTH ears. He has a sinus infection, hence the goopy eyes. And he has some respitory junk going on, as in she heard a slight wheeze. And if we don't take care of it, it can turn into RSV. SUCKY!
So the treatment? We have to give him eye drops twice a day, with ear infection medicine twice a day. And for the respitory stuff?! Oh, its the best part. We have this little machine called a NEBULIZER--Dave kept calling it a defibulator--and Sam has to put this mouthpiece, well yes, in his mouth and breath in this vapor for fifteen to twenty minutes or so. EVERY FOUR HOURS. Yup, every four hours, AND that includes the middle of the night. Lucky me got up last night and took care of that, it was fabulous. He has to go back Monday morning, so they can see if its gotten any better. Oh yeah, and there was something in there too about saline and snot sucking before he eats and sleeps, every time. I hope I don't sound like I'm complaining, I'm happy to take care of him and I hope he starts feeling better real soon, it breaks my heart every time he coughs! Its just such a kicker of a treatment! Sheesh! Here he is with his defibulizer--I mean nebulizer! It kind of sounds like Darth Vader! haha

10 awesomeness!...and attractiveness!:
I am so sorry for little Sam. I remember when Abigail got RSV and everything else. She didn't have any signs, so even though it sucks that he is so sick atleast you caught it now so he doesn't end up in the hospital.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do.
Oh my goodness does that bring back memories, Wyatt had to use a neubulizer machine all the time with his asthma, it was a big pain and it mad me so sad for him, but thank goodness there are things to help your little guy feel better, I was sooooo glad when Wyatt could finally take and inhaler. I hope he is feeling better.
So Sad!!! Hope he feels better soon. Hang in there.
Poor sam! It looks like you don't have to fight him to do it though, unless this pictures does not capture the true moment. Glad it didn't get all the way to rsv, though. Let me know how the appt. goes manana (I don't know how to do the little squiggly over the n, but you know what I mean, right?)
Probably would have been faster just to type tomorrow, eh?
Gee, I hope he feels better soon....poor little guy!!!!
Poor Sam!! I love his face in the pic though, too funny!
Poor Sam! I've had to do nebulizer on kids and its not fun. Sending good health wishes!!!
So sad! I love the pictures for New Years! I miss you guys!
How can you look at that picture and not have your heart break for your little Sam?!?! I'm so sorry. We all hope he gets better soon!
Thanks so much everyone! He's doing a little better, its mostly at night sleeping that's the worst! During the day he wants to be held a LOT, but what can you do?!
(Julie, he does pretty good with it, only once in awhile does he not want anything to do with it. He mostly just falls asleep now, must be relaxing huh?)
