Just real quick, we finally got Bethany into the allergy specialist to check on her peanut allergy. I've done allergy testing before and kind of expected how things would be, but not sure how they would do it on a little kid (I did it when I was about 17). I was really sad because I had to work and couldn't be there, but David was great and Bethany was a champ! When I was tested they marked my forearms, put little drops of syrum or whatever of things people are allergic to, and then pricked the drops to see if you would react to them. They did the same kind of thing to Bethany, except they did it on her back and didn't do nearly as many drops, I think they would just do the allergies that are threatening, more food allergies and that sort. I remember it was really hard not to scratch after they pricked you, but you had to wait for like five minutes or so and if you scratched it they had to start over. Bethany was having a hard time, but Dave distracted her and she got through it, I'm very proud of her (there was an older woman when I did it that couldn't get through it, so she's pretty tough!). Bethany does get a special epipen to go to school with her, and the dr. even showed her how to use it. Well, so much for super quick, but there you have it on Bethany's allergies!

4 awesomeness!...and attractiveness!:
Poor thing...that sounds like no fun. That stinks about being allergic to peanuts...No peanut butter?? That would be hard. Those epipen's scare me.
I know about the peanut butter--I absolutely love peanut butter! Oh well, atleast it doesn't taste good to her or we'd have a LOT harder time with it! The epipen's scare me too, but I don't think she'd ever need one, she spits peanut stuff right out!
Go Bethany you tough girl! Love you!
I am glad you got it all worked out and that she has the epipen if she needs it. She is a brave girl!
